Client: Mrs Jane Evans
Completion: September 2010
Project Overview

Jane Evans has long been aware of the environmental advantages of generating some of her own electricity.
When she moved into her bungalow a solar system was beyond her budget. When she heard about the Feed-in Tarifs she did some research on the subject and various firms came to assess her property.
She was looking for a company that had something extra in terms of experience, expertise and interest.
In Dulas she found all she was looking for: “Not only does Dulas have an impressive history and wealth of expertise, but everyone involved in Dulas appears to be really interested and involved in what they’re doing.”

Implementation

A 3.87 kW system was installed on Jane’s house. The system was made up of 18 Kyocera KD215 (215 watt) polycrystalline modules. It was mounted with roof hooks (under the roof tiles). The installation required 27m2 of roof space and took three days to complete.

In Dulas I got that 'added value' component of having people installing my system who were interested, friendly and informed.

I can fully recommend Dulas, they have been an inspiration to us.

  • Total annual fincial income income: £1,617*
  • Annual output: 3,180 kWhrs
  • *Sum of electricity generation tariff income plus export tariff income, plus offset of purchased electricity; assuming a 50% export rate of generated electricity. The performance of solar PV systems is impossible to predict with certainty due to the variability in the amount of solar radiation (sunlight) from location to location and from year to year. This estimate is based upon the Government's standard assessment procedure for energy rating of buildings (SAP) and is given as guidance only. It should not be considered as a guarantee of performance.
