Heathrow Airport has energy efficiency and renewable energy targets like most large organisations. The airport aims to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from the redeveloped Terminal 2 building by over 40% and to reduce operating costs. Along with solar PV the renewable energy for the building will come from a combined heat and power plant.
The College Merthyr Tydfil opened in 2013 and embraces 21st century technology and practices, providing first class teaching and learning opportunities. The installation of solar PV on 5 roofs was considered, “an opportunity to meet their Carbon Social Responsibility objectives”. The main contractor decided to use Dulas because “they were very competitive and highly regarded by their supply chain”.
Salesforce Tower stands 230m tall, making it one of the tallest buildings in the City of London. Located in Bishopsgate, London it houses innovative offices, a restaurant, sky bar and facilities. The brief to Dulas included installation, specification, commissioning and trouble-shooting of the DC cabling, inverters and PV laminates.
