About Dulas Biomass Projects

Having worked on a number of biomass projects throughout the UK, Dulas has built up a sizeable knowledge base when it comes to the delivery of on-site systems. Our renewable heat installations are suitable for a wide range of applications. We have been supplying and supporting the reliable operation, fuel supply management and planned and reactive maintenance of biomass heating systems since 1982.

About Dulas Biomass Projects

Biomass systems

The space needed for a Biomass heating system depends on the size of the boiler it is to heat and the fuel type it is to use.

  • Wood chip
  • Wood pellets
  • Logs
  • Firewood

Suitable sites for biomass heating systems include existing boiler rooms, basements or small outbuildings.

Renewable Heat Incentive

In 2011 The Department of Energy and Climate Change introduced the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) - the world’s first long-term financial support programme for renewable heat.

The incentive aims to help the UK reduce greenhouse gas emissions and meet targets for reducing the effects of climate change, encouraging the switch to heat generated by renewable sources.

Your biomass projects may be eligible for funding through the scheme.

Wood fuel

Wood fuel is playing an increasingly large role in replacing fossil fuels to heat and power homes, businesses, industries and institutions. Governments and NGOs endorse wood as a sustainable and renewable fuel source.

Wood fuel reduces dependency on imported fossil fuels, benefits the local economy and is often cheaper than its fossil fuel equivalents. Plant-based biomass fuel is part of a constantly replenished crop. It is a sustainable and 'carbon neutral' alternative to fossil fuels.
